Angie is a writer, teacher, and storyteller with a knack for finding meaningful lessons in ordinary moments. She brings a lifetime of varied experiences to her writing and teaching.

Angie is the creative voice behind much of Wavemakers' written content, studies, retreat themes, and resources. She loves digging into Scripture and turning what she learns into something others can use. Her own unexpected seasons have only deepened her conviction that our stories matter and that even the hardest parts of life can become opportunities to make waves of hope.

Christy Payne

Christy is a natural connector with a gift for making people feel welcome and bringing people together. She loves shared experiences, adventures, meaningful conversations, and the relationships that grow along the way.

After the deaths of her daughters, Ella and Aranza, in 2019, their lives and the impact they made on others became part of the inspiration behind Wavemakers. Christy's own story carries both tremendous loss and continued joy, and she has a gift for sharing it with honesty, humor, and heart. Whether around a table, on a road trip, or in the middle of an ordinary conversation, Christy finds joy in shared experiences and relationships.  

Sherril Weiss

Sherril is an expressive storyteller who is comfortable sharing both the joyful and difficult parts of life. Her experiences with family, motherhood, grief, change, and unexpected seasons have given her plenty of stories to tell and a willingness to talk openly about what she has lived.

Sherril has been part of Wavemakers retreats and events since the beginning, sharing personal stories, humor, and lessons gathered through her experiences. She enjoys connecting through conversation.
