Meet the Wavemakers
We plan to add a few "meet the Wavemakers" stops on our travels in 2024. If you happen to know of other events looking for speakers, we'd be honored for you to recommend one or all of us. If you happen to be in the area of one of these events, stay tuned for information to register.
Angie, Christy, and Sherril make adventures out of everything. Sometimes the scenic route is intentional, to see lighthouses or meet up with friends. Sometimes, we are just too busy talking to pay attention to the navigation. We embrace the motto "life is about the journey, not the destination" in many ways. However, in the most important way, our destination is Heaven and our journey includes bringing as many souls with us as possible.
Wavemaker Wednesdays
Before we were Wavemakers, Christy found Ray Higdon and she brought Angie and then Sherril along for one of his 14-day challenges. He created Wealth Wednesday which involves "doing a random act of kindness for a stranger that involves a financial exchange." This may include paying for the person behind you in the drive-thru, tipping extra at a restaurant, or putting money in a diaper box. You are only limited by your imagination. Angie's kids love putting cash in the diaper box or formula can.
After the accident, we renamed wealth Wednesday to Wavemaker Wednesday. We extended the definition to include acts of service toward anyone, including people you know. Wavemakers are people determined to make a difference in the world, one act, one person, at a time. This may include taking a meal to a new mom or someone recovering from surgery, taking care of someone's yard, or simply sitting with someone who is hurting. Small ripples turn into big waves. How can you make a difference?
